One person’s time is not another’s. That may be a short answer but the time to consider a housing transition can be based on current level of activity, privacy, independence, safety along with anticipated level of necessary health care.

A specialist can provide insight and experience in how other seniors have made successful transitions. I have resources, services and trusted affiliations who will assist in assuring that a successful transition can be accomplished. Options can range from assisted living arrangements to simply downsizing. I’ll save a “assisted living” for a later update.
Downsizing
Downsizing is much more than just finding a smaller home. The transition can very emotional. Just sorting through accumulated stuff to clear room for a move can be tough. There are professionals who are experienced and patient in working with retirees to help overcome these and many other obstacles.
As a Senior Real Estate Specialist is am aware of the challenges that may prevent making a move. It is my job to respect all issues and concerns that may appear minor but are truly important to you. If obstacles need solutions then we will look to find a way that works for the homeowner and their long term goals.
